Custom Magnets, Magnetic Assemblies and Ferrite Cores
Our two in-house machine shops (KY and IL) have combined capabilities for cutting, surface grinding, OD grinding, and ID grinding most magnet materials to print specifications. We also work with Wire-EDM facilities for cutting complex magnet shapes out of raw materials. We have the capabilities to produce magnets of virtually any shape and size to customer specification. And we can provide precision-machined metal (and other) components to create stock and custom magnet assemblies.

Lead-times for custom magnets or machined ferrite cores depend on complexity of the job, quantity required, raw material availability and shop load. However, we can complete custom orders within 2 to 4 weeks of the order, and sometimes in as little as a few days.

Coating and Plating
Adams has strong business relationships with several coaters and plating companies around the country, and can therefore supply coating for magnets, assemblies, toroids, or any other magnetic component. We offer parylene, epoxy, nickel, chrome, vinyl and other coating types. Please contact us with your specific requirements.

Magnetizing
Adams builds all our own magnetizers in house to best suit each type of material we work with. We can magnetize most magnets or magnetic assemblies for you. In some cases we may need to build special fixtures for your particular magnetization requirements. We also build custom magnetizers for customers upon request. Although we serve several markets, we have learned that the principals of magnet design can be applied in most applications.
